Updating of the «Soft.Farm IS User Training Center» at Poltava State Agrarian University

On December 15, 2023, the «Soft.Farm IS User Training Center» was updated. This center has been operating for more than 7 years at the Poltava State Agrarian University on the Department of Information Systems and Technologies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Economics, Management, Law and Information Technologies.

The Soft.Farm team also joined in updating the hardware. Our team together with the Department of Information Systems and Technologies installed and configured equipment. It created conditions for training and comfortable work for users of the information system.

During the work of the Center, more than 500 potential users of the Soft.Farm web service were trained. 194 of them received certificates for the rights to operate and implement the information system. The main focus in the process of gaining knowledge is on setting up and using services at real agricultural enterprises with using precision farming tools and developing practical skills in mastering the system’s tools. The main tasks are independently creating of field maps, technological maps and task maps, adding new crops to user profile and working with the structure of sown areas, economic analysis of the cultivation of agricultural products, as well as working with cartograms, cadastral distribution of the land bank, GPS monitoring of equipment, satellite monitoring and other modules.

The event was attended by representatives of the technical support and implementation department of our team, the rector of PSAU Oleksandr Halych, the director of ESI EMLIT Dmytro Dyachkov, the head of the department of information systems and technologies Yuriy Utkin and department staff. The head of the department noted the long-term cooperation with our team and thanked the representatives of the Soft.Farm team for it.
